Imagine this: the highway, open road, sunny day. The wind is blowing through the open windows, hitting your face. The engine is humming contentedly. You\u2019re leaving behind what\u2019s weighing you down. You know you\u2019ll take care of it, but not now. Now, you turn on the music, relax, and simply feel free.<\/p>\n

For exactly this feeling, I have put together several playlists for you, sorted by the countries where I heard or picked up the tracks. Don\u2019t expect folklore. While local artists are included, this is mainly about music that carries you further and inspires you. Enjoy being on the move, in the car or metaphorically. Somehow, we are all on the journey of our lives, aren\u2019t we?<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Georgia: pristine nature, ancient ruins, and rugged but warm-hearted people. The wars of the past have left many scars on the country. Yet, the Georgians have remained proud and independent. This land has preserved its true essence through the ebb and flow of time.<\/p>\n

Its music is passionate. Georgian dance is clearly a derivation of ancient martial arts used by Georgians to defend their land. Those who approach them with respect are rewarded with abundant hospitality.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>I had only a vague idea of the term “merciful” until I traveled to Turkey. Almost every Turk I encountered was kind and warm-hearted, without asking for anything in return. Even if they have little themselves, they share their food, their sleeping place, and their joy of life with you.<\/p>\n

Most of the people I met believe their country is poor. From my perspective, Turkey is one of the wealthiest countries on earth. For what truly makes us rich? A lot of money or a good heart? Many times, as a German, I didn’t understand the way Turks interact with each other. But one thing I know: in their actions, the Turkish people reveal the goodness of the human soul.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>With Greece, I associate monasteries, family, and mystical contemplation. On my journey from Albania through Kalambaka and Thessaloniki to Bulgaria, I was deeply involved in a relationship. I could hardly open my eyes to this country because personal matters were in my focus.<\/p>\n

But I believe it is characteristic of Greece that here I found something like a second family, in whose security it became easier for me to let go of and leave behind certain connections on this journey. Although it took me longer to take this step, it was between the mountains and monasteries of Kalambaka that I found my primal trust in life.<\/p>\n
